Iqbal Ahmad Khan is the Chief Executive Officer of Al Qaseer Middle East Investment. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, Cravia Group, Fajr Capital, Jadwa Investment and MENA Infrastructure. Prior to Al Qaseer Middle East Investment, he was the founding CEO of HSBC Amanah, where he built the business and team over eight years into one of the fastest growing and most successful emerging businesses in the HSBC Group.
He is a long-time advocate of the Islamic financial services industry, serving as an advisor to government initiatives in Brunei, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics and Chemistry, both from Aligarh Muslim University. He is the recipient of several industry and global accolades, including the Royal Award for Islamic Finance, a biannual prize presented by HM the King of Malaysia, and a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE.
Mr. Al-Sayer possesses 20 years of experience in the Investment Banking field with international exposure and knowledge. He held several positions in prominent financial institutions notably JP Morgan - London, UK, National Bank of Kuwait – New York, USA, NBK Capital, and Mazaya Holding Co., before joining Al Qaseer Middle East Investment in April 2017. Mr. Al-Sayer holds a bachelor’s of science in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida and an Executive MBA from London Business School.
Mr. Majed has 9 years of experience in the Real Estate field receiving his MS in Real Estate from New York University. Mr. Majed specializes in International Real Estate acquisitions, due diligence, structuring, syndicating to clients and asset management services. Prior to joining Al Qaseer Middle East Investment, Mr. Majed worked for Wafra Investment Advisory Group in New York and Mckinsey & Company in Dubai.
Mr. Alawadi joined Al Qaseer Middle East Investment in June 2019, and has more than 9 years of experience in the Local Real Estate field. His experience specializes in Real Estate funds, development, acquisitions, due diligence, structuring, syndicating to clients and Real Estate management services. Mr. Alawadi holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Real Estate, both from American University, Washington DC. He also holds the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation.
Mr. Atesh joined Al Qaseer Middle East Investment in September 2017, and is equipped with more than 9 years of experience in the Investment and Asset Management fields. Prior to joining Al Qaseer Middle East Investment, Mr. Atesh held the position of an Investment Advisor in NBK Capital. Mr. Atesh holds a bachelor’s of Finance from the American University of Kuwait and an MBA from Gulf University of Science and Technology. He also attended the Oxford Private Markets Investments program from the University of Oxford.
Dr. Ahmad is the Fund Manager of Al Qaseer Middle East Investment and has more than 15 years’ experience in banking and Project finance. Prior to joining Al Qaseer, Ahmad managed corporate finance and investment banking for international and local UAE banks
His last position was the Head of International Investment Finance for ADIB where he originated, structured, and executed Project Finance transactions in multiple asset classes in excess of USD 2 billion.
